MAXimize your LUNCH business with LUNCH MAX
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
How does it work?
Each day we take your Daily Specials for the coming day and insert them in to your Daily Specials Fax and fax it to your customer fax list. We then insert them in to your Daily Specials Email and email to your customer email list. Plus, we post your Daily Specials on your web site, which includes your Full Menu & Catering Menu.
I already fax on my own, why would I sign up with Lunch Max?
Most of our clients were faxing on their own prior to hiring Lunch Max. Although faxing is a major piece of our marketing program, it is not the only piece. Our program is designed to use faxing, emailing and web sites in a coordinated way that makes each piece more effective than if it were a stand-alone piece. In addition, the quality of the faxes and the additional services we offer, such as customer list maintenance, a complete list of all your daily specials, ease of use, and the elimination of faxing headaches make the faxing piece of the program well worth it by itself. If one of your customers asked the question "I can make a sandwich on my own, why would I go to your store?" It's the same answer... because we can do it better because it's our specialty.
How do you get fax numbers?
We build your customer list a couple different ways that ensure an opt-in only customer list. First, we acquire a list of the businesses within your zip code, then call on your behalf and to ask them to join your customer list. Second, we have a simple "Join Our Customer List" form that is given out at the store and faxed to your customer list which encourages people to either fill it out and fax it back or to Join Your Customer List on your web site. This combination builds a more complete customer list with the names, numbers and email addresses of many customers at one company instead of just having a single fax number and maybe a company name. Plus, if you already have a fax list of regular customers we would add them to your new customer list. Here's a sample "Join Our Customer List" form...

How do I know who you're faxing and emailing my daily specials to?
Every month we mail you a complete Customer List which shows all the businesses and people that receive your daily specials by fax or email. Plus, your Customer List clearly shows "NEW" customers. Here's a sample Customer List...
How do I know my Daily Specials Faxes are really being faxed?
Every month we mail you a Fax Confirmation Log that lists all the successful faxes for the past month. It's similar to a telephone bill, except with details of all the faxes sent instead of telephone calls. Here's a sample Fax Confirmation Log...
What if I don't have Daily Specials?
Then get some! Just kidding, I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention. Many stores do not have daily specials. Special to us means "mouth-watering". If you don't have true daily specials, then we would use items from your regular menu and give them mouth-watering descriptions so your customers will "taste" it as they read it. Having Daily Specials allows you to market to your customers daily, which is why having Daily Specials is so important. Using items from your regular menu does not mean simply discounting your regular menu items, it means promote your regular menu items as special because they ARE special.
Do I have to discount my Daily Specials?
No. Special does not mean cheap or inexpensive. If anything, something special should cost more. We strongly encourage you to offer a Free Lunch once a week to a customer on your fax list or email list. Having a Free Lunch Winner has proven to be a great success and it only costs you one lunch per week (at cost). Another idea is to have a "Lunch Box Special" where you create a combo lunch, such as a soup, sandwich & drink for a set price. We don't view these ideas as discounting, they are promotions, and that's the idea - promote your food. Simply cutting your prices does not build interest or create much attention and it's less profitable. If your food is great & your regular customers are fine with your prices then the worst thing you could do is reduce your prices even further. I say to people, "Your job is to put out great food at a fair price, not a cheap price. Our job is to catch your customers' attention everyday. If we're both doing our jobs correctly, it's a win-win for both of us!
How much will using your service increase my business?
It's difficult to say because client participation is so important to the effectiveness of the program. In other words, we provide the ideas, methods and tools to build a solid marketing effort. A good working relationship and utilization of our program has been profitable for our clients. Generally, the average increase in business is $750 to $1000 per week for our clients, some a lot more, some a lot less. Please feel free to contact any of our clients to find out how it has impacted their business.
Where does the new business come from?
A better question would be, where does the increase in revenue come from? We hear the same three things, increased revenue comes from:
- New customers from the businesses that receive your Daily Specials (together we need to turn them into regular customers)
- Larger orders since more people at each business are exposed to your Daily Specials Faxes, Daily Specials Emails and your website.
- More orders from regular customers who become "more regular". They order more often and their orders are larger. The bottom line is that our program gives your establishment more exposure in your "back yard" market, which generates more business.
How do I get my regular customers to give me their fax numbers & email addresses?

Can you give me a list of all my Daily Specials?
Yes, here's a sample list of all your daily specials. This is a great tool!
How can I find out what my customers really think about my food and my store?
We fax a brief survey to your customers to get their feedback. This helps identify areas of concern for your store, plus provides a great opportunity to get positive feedback from your customers.
What if I don't have a fax machine?
It's not required, but it's strongly recommended that you have a fax machine in your store. It is used as our primary means of communication with you and your store.
How much does it cost?
See our pricing page for complete pricing details.
How am I billed?
Billing is monthly by credit card or check.
How can I increase my catering sales?
This is important! Local business catering is a market that we can help you attack immediately. Any business with at least 15 employees usually has a monthly sales meeting, marketing meeting, personnel meeting, etc. We don't want them looking in the yellow pages for a "Caterer" - we want them to call YOU! They already come to you for lunch, but it never occurred to them that you also do catering. There's a text box on your Daily Specials Fax that reads "The Chalkboard". Anytime you do a catering order, just let us know who it was for and the next day we'll insert a "thank you" to your catering customer on your Daily Specials Fax (See below PDF). Two things happen from this; the catering client is flattered that you publicly thanked them, but even better, other people looking at your fax start saying to themselves "I didn't even know they did catering, and look at all these businesses raving about their catering." In addition, our catering flyers program is designed to increase your catering orders by promoting your catering services for special events with Catering Fax Flyers that are periodically faxed to your customer fax list.
